December 2019
What an amazing end to the year with 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre winning his 17th CC and BEST OF BREED under our judge Helen Burke, going on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Jeff Luscott and then taking RESERVE BEST IN SHOW under Dave Killilea. If you're going to finish a year in style, this is how to do it! Our beautiful 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) made it a double, taking her 25th CC. BEST PUPPY IN BREED was 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos and BEST VETERAN IN BREED was 'Keiko' - Chayo Bootilicious at Milagre ShCM RL1, owned by Gill Reid. 'Remy' - Chayo Star Of The East, owned by Alexis Rutherford, achieved another Crufts qualification with a 3rd in Puppy Dog. Our thanks to Naomi Van Mourik for once again handling to perfection.
November 2019
We took a trip up north to Scotland for the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland championship show where our breed judge Veronica Avory awarded 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre the dog CC and BEST OF BREED. He then went on to take WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Ann Ingram before entering the ring under Meg Purnell-Carpenter and taking BEST IN SHOW, his second of the year! What a fantastic achievement for the week of his 2nd birthday!
October 2019
This month saw us at Midland Counties championship show where we were judged by Lynne Salt. What an incredible day we had, with 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre winning another CC but overshadowed on the day by 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) who took her 24th CC and BEST OF BREED giving her the UK BITCH BREED RECORD. Our thanks to Naomi Van Mourik for her expert handling on the day and to everyone who has helped along the way.
September 2019
We went along to Driffield championship show where Lorraine Bolton awarded 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre his 6th RESERVE CC. Our star of the day though, was 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos would took BEST PUPPY IN BREED and then went on to place WORKING PUPPY GROUP 4 under judge Mr Robin Newhouse, making her the TOP PUPPY at the 3/4 point of 2019.
Darlington championship show saw Chayo once again "do the double" with 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre winning the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED and 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) the BITCH CC and BEST OPPOSITE SEX under our judge Dr Ron James. What an incredibly amazing day for us as Curtis then went on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under Mr Graham Hill and Precious equalled the BITCH CC RECORD by picking up her 23rd ticket. Our sincere thanks to our judges for thinking so highly of our dogs.
What a fantastic start to the month at Richmond championship show where our judge Rony Doedijns from the Netherlands awarded 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre BEST OF BREED and his daughter 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos BEST PUPPY IN BREED. We were over the moon when Curtis then went on to be awarded GROUP 3 under Simon Luxmoore and Chaos went on to PUPPY GROUP 2 under Caroline Friend-Rees.
August 2019
To end the month, we took a trip to the Kennel Club building at Stoneleigh for the City of Birmingham championship show. Back in coat and back on form, 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) took her 22nd ticket and BEST OF BREED under judge Liz Dunhill and then went on to be awarded GROUP 3 under Dan Ericsson. 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre made the double, being handed the DOG CC, his 12th. Our thanks to Freya Morris for helping to handle in the challenge.
At the
Scottish Kennel Club championship show, 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre was
handed his 11th CC and BEST OF BREED by judge Jeff Luscott.
Off to Wales for the Welsh Kennel Club championship show where the judge Charlotte John awarded 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre the RESERVE DOG CC and BEST PUPPY IN BREED to 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos who went on to WORKING PUPPY GROUP 4 under Jeff Luscott.
Another trip to the south for a very blustery Bournemouth championship show, judged by David Cavill. 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre once again took top honours with the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED then went on to be awarded WORKING GROUP 2 under Mr Hedd Richards. We had respectable results with the rest of the Chayo team too, with 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos being awarded BEST PUPPY BITCH, and 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) 3rd in Open Bitch.
We managed to get away from the very busy kennels to attend Paignton championship show where we were judged by Noel Melling. 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre continued his winning ways with another CC and BEST OF BREED and 'Jessie' - CH Chayo Inspiration JW ShCM was awarded the BITCH CC. Wee weren't finished there though, our youngster 'Chaos' - Chayo Causin Chaos was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED and went on to be awarded PUPPY GROUP 3, handled by Freya Morris. Our other baby girl 'Gem' - Chayo Esperanza was awarded 3rd place in puppy bitch, qualifying her for Crufts at her first show.
July 2019
'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) was awarded BEST BITCH and her 21st CC at East Of England championship show by our judge Stuart Mallard and 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded the RESERVE DOG CC. 'Layla' - Chayo Vasilisa won her Minor Puppy Bitch class and 'Midas' - CH Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was handed 3rd in Open Dog behind Curtis.
June 2019
At the half way point, CHAYO have been announced as TOP MALAMUTE BREEDER, TOP MALAMUTE - CH Chayo Cause Celebre, TOP MALAMUTE BITCH - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai), TOP MALAMUTE PUPPY - Chayo Vasilisa.
Windsor championship show was anothr triumph for 'Layla' - Chayo Vasilisa who was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED by our judge Chris John and then went on to claim PUPPY GROUP 3 under highly respected judge Meg Purnell-Carpenter. Our thanks to all those who have commented on Layla, she is certainly turning out to be something special!
The day belonged to 'Layla' - Chayo Vasilisa at Blackpool Championship Show under Zena Thorn-Andrews where she beat the competition to win BEST PUPPY IN BREED at only her 2nd show. She then represented the breed in the group ring where she was awarded PUPPY GROUP 1 by Mrs Sue Searle.
We went up to the Scottish borders for the Border Union Championship Show under judge Bridgette Bodle where 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre continued hi winning streak with BEST OF BREED and then went into the group ring under Margaret Wildman who awarded him his second GROUP 1. We are delighted with the results this boy has achieved so far! "Precious" CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) was handed 2nd in Open Bitch and 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was 2nd behind Curtis in Open Dog.
The weather may not have been as good, but June is proving to be a glorious month for Chayo as we once again "did the double" with our amazing duo 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre being awarded the DOG CC and ultimately BEST OF BREED and "Precious" CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) awarded the BITCH CC. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was handed 3rd in Open Dog, handled as always by Anne Nevinson. Our thanks to judge Keith Baldwin.
The sun shone down on us at Southern Counties where Chayo "did the double" under judge Joan Sheehan. Our 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED over "Precious" CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) who was awarded the BITCH CC. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was handed 3rd in Open Dog to round up some great results! Curtis then went on to be shortlisted in a strong working group.
May 2019
May continued to be a winning month for Chayo with a visit to Bath championship show where our judge Mr Derek Smith awarded our young star 'Curtis' - CH Chayo Cause Celebre his 5th CC and BEST OF BREED. He then went on to GROUP 2 under Mr Steve Hall. Our little girl 'Layla' - Chayo Vasilisa was placed 2nd in Minor Puppy bitch at her first show and 'Esme' - Chayo Finesse was placed 3rd in Junior Bitch
With the kennels so busy, it was left to Anne to fly the Chayo flag at the Scottish Kennel Club championship show and she did a fantastic job showing under Sarah Robinson. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM finally fought his way to the 3rd ticket making him our 22nd UK Champion. Just to confirm his success, he went into the group ring and secured GROUP 3 under judge Keith Nathan. Well done Anne and thanks to both judges.
What a fantastic day at the National Dog Show! Our judge Robin Newhouse awarded 'Curtis' - BIS CH Chayo Cause Celebre BEST OF BREED and our young star 'Esme' - Chayo Finesse the RESERVE BITCH CC. Curtis then carried on into the group where the judge Dave Killilea handed him a fantastic GROUP 2. Our thanks to the judges.
April 2019
Finishing off the month with a trip to WELKS championship show under judge Keith Nathan, 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) picked up her 18th CC whilst 'Curtis' - BIS CH Chayo Cause Celebre picked up the RESERVE DOG CC. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch, co-owned and handled by Anne Nevinson picked up 3rd in Open Dog.
A beautiful, warm, sunny day in Wales for the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales championship show. What an amazing day it turned out to be! Our young boy "Curtis" Chayo Cause Celebre strutted his way to the DOG CC, his 3rd, making him up to a CHAMPION at just 17 month of age! Not to be outdone, "Precious" CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) picked up her 17th ticket with the BITCH CC and Anne Nevinson handled our co-owned "Midas" Chayo Golden Touch to his 10th RESERVE CC. In the challenge it was Curtis who shone today, picking up BEST OF BREED. We were over the moon to be in the big ring with our youngster and he didn't disappoint, pushing through the competition to be awarded GROUP 1. Our day wasn't finished there though, because Curtis then went on to be awarded BEST IN SHOW! Chayo's 4th dog to be awarded this honour! Our sincere thanks to Best In Show judge Graham Hill, Group judge Leanne Lewis and Breed judge Kevin Young for thinking so highly of our young boy
March 2019
Crufts 2019. Our young star "Curtis" - Chayo Cause Celebre, who was top puppy 2018, won his junior class under judge Mary Deats. Meanwhile, "Jenson" - CH Chayo Formula One represented us in the Eukanuba Champion Stakes final in the big ring and whilst not placed, he showed magnificently. We also showed the Jack Russells and were delighted to have "Eddy" - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas take 2nd place in the Limit Class and our homebred baby girl "Rosie"- Chayo Rose Gold ( Eddy x Olya) take 2nd place in the Puppy Bitch Class under judge Geoff Corish.

News from Indonesia where our 'Timmy', owned by Aji Gunardi and handled perfectly by Ivan Calleja won four BEST OF BREED and four GROUP TWO to become Am GCH/Am CH/Indo CH Chayo Time After Time. Well done everyone!

A day out at Manchester champ show led to fantastic results for Chayo. Our judge Jeff Luscott awarded 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre his 2nd DOG CC and 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) her 16th BITCH CC! 'Whitney' - CH Chayo One Moment In Time was awarded the RESERVE BITCH CC and our little girl 'Esme' - Chayo Finesse was handed BEST PUPPY IN BREED. Other Chayo results on the day were 'Silva' - Chayo Silver Shimmer , owned by Mrs Sinclair, awarded 2nd in Limit Bitch and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden, awarded 2nd in Veteran Bitch.
The first championship show of the year. Boston saw Tim Ball award 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) the BITCH CC and 'Whitney' - CH Chayo One Moment In Time JW the RESERVE BITCH CC. Just recently graduating from puppy class, 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre was handed the RESERVE DOG CC. In Open Dog 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was placed 2nd and 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, co-owned with Anne Nevinson, was placed Reserve. Finally, at her first show, 'Esme' - Chayo Finesse was awarded 2nd place in Puppy Bitch, qualifying her for Crufts.
