Top Stud Dog in UK Alaskan Malamutes (Dog World/Royal Canin) is the handsome 'Diesel' - Am/Int/Lux/Bel/Dutch Ch Sno Quest's Limited Edition owned by Rita Liebrand from the Netherlands. Both sons Enzo and Cruz have done you proud in winning a total of 5 x Working Group 1, 3 x Group 2, 3 x Group 4, winning 5 CCs between them and Cruz becoming a UK Champion.

The final CC show of the year at the Ladies Kennel Association under breed specialist Kath Howarth saw  'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie win 2nd place in the Open Bitch class gaining her stud book number and Crufts qualification for life. Chayo were also awarded Best Breeder in Breed. Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by D Cawthera was placed reserve in both Minor Puppy Dog and Puppy Dog, 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron won 1st in Limit Dog, Chayo Bootilicious Of Milagre owned by Miss G Reid won 3rd in puppy Bitch and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Phil Helleur won 2nd in Limit Bitch.

Other Chayo placements were Anne Nevinson’s 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes who won 2nd in Post Graduate Dog and 'Keiko' - Chayo Bootilicious of Milagre owned by G Reid who won 3rd in Post Graduate bitch. Enzo then went on to win WORKING GROUP 3 under judge Christina Chapman and Bart won PUPPY GROUP 4. Chayo also won the BEST BREEDER IN BREED award and BREEDER GROUP 1

Last weekend at Charleroi in Belgium……our sweet 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal took BEST OF BREED, beautifully handled by Nancy Daponte.

At South Wales Kennel Association Championship Show, 'Enzo' - Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me takes BEST OF BREED and then went on to be placed GROUP 4 whilst 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie wins Reserve Best Bitch. 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler won 2nd in the Post Graduate Bitch class and also won the Fosse Data Yearling Stakes.

'Enzo' - Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me once again took top honours at Driffield Championship show, taking Best Dog and BEST OF BREED under judge Bob Gregory.

At Darlington Championship Show, 'Enzo' - Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me gained Best Dog. 'Bart' Chayo My Prerogative was placed 2nd in Puppy Dog, Chayo Miss Moonfrost owned by Georgina Aiston was placed Reserve in Puppy Bitch and 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers was placed Reserve in Limit Bitch.

At Richmond Championship Show, under Judge Barrie Croft, 'Enzo' - Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me was awarded BEST OF BREED and then went on to win GROUP 2. Best Bitch was 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers. Another Chayo success was Anne Nevinson’s 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes who won 1st in Post Graduate Dog.

At Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show we had a great day again. Breed Judge Mr Robin Newhouse gave BEST OF BREED to 'Enzo' - Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me and Reserve Best Dog to Anne Nevinson’s 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes. Enzo then went on to win GROUP 2 under Mrs Jan Rual.

The fantastic month continued at the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show where 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me won the dog CC, BEST OF BREED and then went on to win GROUP 4 and once again we "did the double" with 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate winning the bitch CC, equalling the record for the number of CCs won by a bitch! Our sincere thanks to judges Derek Smith and Liz Cartledge. 'Bart' Chayo My Prerogative won Puppy Dog and 'Connie' - Chayo Contradiction gained Reserve in the Puppy Bitch class followed by a 2nd in the Puppy Stakes class. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron gained Reserve in Post Graduate Dog, Chayo Miss Moonfrost owned by Georgina Aiston was placed VHC in Puppy Bitch and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Phil Helleur was 2nd in Limit Bitch. Chayo also won Best Breeder in Breed.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC WEEKEND FOR CHAYO BOTH HERE AND ABROAD!!!
At Bournemouth Championship Show under judge Jeff Luscott, 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me won the dog CC, BEST OF BREED and then went on to win GROUP 1. A trip back the following day saw Enzo beat off stiff opposition to win RESERVE BEST IN SHOW!!! Our sincere thanks to Group Judge Jack Bispham and Best In Show Judge Mr Freeman. The good news didn't stop there, with  'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate winning the bitch CC! 'Bart' Chayo My Prerogative was awarded 2nd in Puppy Dog and 'Connie' - Chayo Contradiction won the Puppy Bitch class at her first show and then went on to get 3rd in the Puppy Stakes class out of an entry of 47! Chayo also won BEST BREEDER IN BREED. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron won 3rd place in Junior Dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was awarded 2nd in Limit Dog, Chayo Miss Moonfrost owned by Georgina Aiston was placed res. in Puppy Bitch and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Phil Helleur won Limit Bitch.

Meanwhile we received news from the United States that, after only very limited showing in the UK, 'Paolo' - Chayo Just The Ticket has just completed his American title in style, collecting his fourth Major! Our thanks once again to our great friends Andrea and Matt Sautbine for looking after our dogs so well and showing them to their best! Paolo joins Louis in becoming the only two UK bred Malamutes with US titles.

'Bart' Chayo My Prerogative was awarded 3rd in puppy dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was awarded 2nd in Limit Dog, 'Freddy' - Int/Lux/Nl/Ger/Bel Ch. Chayo I Want It All, was awarded 3rd in Open Dog, 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers was awarded VHC in Limit Bitch and in the Open Bitch class, 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate was awarded 3rd and 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was awarded VHC.

At Leeds Championship Show, 'Freddy' - Int/Lux/Nl/Ger/Bel Ch. Chayo I Want It All won his first BEST OF BREED in the UK under highly respected judge Roberta Wright and shortlisted in the Group ably handled by Lisa Bridges and Chayo won Best Breeder in Breed and Breeders Working Group 1. At his first show, 'Bart' Chayo My Prerogative was awarded 2nd in puppy dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was awarded 2nd in Open Dog, 'Izzy' - Chayo Miss Moonfrost, owned by Georgina and Kevin Aiston was awarded 2nd in Puppy Bitch and 'Keiko' - Chayo Bootilicious Of Milagre, owned by Gill Reid & Lee Douglas was placed reserve in the same class. In stakes classes, Bart was 2nd in Minor Puppy Dog Stakes out of a huge class of 22.

At the National Working & Pastoral Breeds Championship Show, 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate was awarded the reserve bitch CC and  'Freddy' - Int/Lux/Nl/Ger/Bel Ch. Chayo I Want It All, freshly back from his stay in Europe and at his first UK show was awarded the reserve dog CC. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron won 2nd place in the Junior Dog class and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Phil Helleur was placed 3rd in Limit Bitch.
At his last European show in Genk, Belgium, 'Freddy' - Int/Lux/Nl/Ger/Bel Ch. Chayo I Want It All becomes a Belgian Champion by taking BEST IN BREED and GROUP 3. He was handled by Nancy Daponte in the Breed classes and Gwen Guillaume in the Group. Freddy now returns to the UK with 5 European titles.

A fantastic start to the month with 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate being awarded the bitch CC and BEST OF BREED and her son 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson being awarded the reserve dog CC under judge Richard Kinsey at Windsor Championship Show. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron won a strong Junior Dog class, 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me was placed 3rd in Open Dog, 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler was placed 3rd in Yearling Bitch, 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Glynis Cameron was placed 3rd in Limit Bitch and 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was given reserve in the Open Bitch class.

At Blackpool Championship show, 'Cruz' CH Chayo Vanquish, owned by Charlotte Whittaker won the reserve CC. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron came 2nd in the Junior Dog class, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was placed VHC in Post Graduate Dog, 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate was placed 2nd in Open Bitch and 'Noobie' - Chayo Black Magic WPD was placed 3rd in Veteran Bitch. Chayo also placed Breeders Group 2.

A fantastic day for Chayo both here and abroad! At the Border Union Championship Show, breed specialist Chris John found her BEST OF BREED in 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me and her Best Bitch in 'Truffle' - Chayo Better Than Chocolate, awarding her a 3rd CC and CHAYO'S 7th UK CHAMPION! The Reserve Bitch CC was awarded to 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler. 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was awarded 2nd in Open Bitch and 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was awarded 1st place in Post Graduate Dog.

Over in Europe at the Double Clubschau in Menden, Germany , Nancy Daponte handled  'Freddy' - Chayo I Want It All to 2 German titles. He is now a DCNH and VDH Champion! Our thanks to Nancy for a great job.
An excellent day for Chayo when 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me won best dog and BEST OF BREED then went on to win GROUP 3 at the 3 Counties Championship Show. Best Bitch was awarded to 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler and 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was awarded Reserve Best Bitch.

Southern Counties Championship Show saw 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me win Reserve Best Dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson was placed 3rd in Post Graduate Dog, 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler was placed 2nd in Junior Bitch and 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers won the Limit Bitch class.

May 2011

At Bath Championship Show, 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me won best dog and BEST OF BREED then went on to win GROUP 2. 'Maya' - Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Sarah Tyler won the Junior Bitch class, 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers placed VHC in the Open Bitch class and 'Tia' - Chayo Sapphire Blue at Snowstruck owned by Jane York came 3rd in the Veteran Bitch class.

 We have received great news from Bogota in Columbia where Chayo Kobuk (Multi Champion Sno Quest's Limited Edition x Chayo Better Than Chocolate) won the Best Puppy in Breed and then the Group at his first show. Congratulations to Family Beltran.

At Wiese in Belgium, 'Freddy' - Int/NL/Lux Ch. Chayo I Want It All went BoB from the Championship Class and was shortlisted in the Group. His daughter ‘Keisha’ owned by Gwen Guillaume was Best Female and Best opposite Sex.

At the AMCUK Open Show sponsored by Chayo Premium Pet Foods, the Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex and Reserve Best In Show went to 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper, owned by Glynis Helleur. Other placings were: Chayo Out Of The Blue within Arctictribe - 2nd Puppy Bitch, Chayo Allika - Res Puppy Bitch, Chayo Fortune & Glory - 1st Junior Bitch, Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama - 2nd Limit Bitch, Chayo Northern Quest - VHC Open Bitch and Chayo Vanilla Ice at Koldsnap - VHC Veteran Bitch.

Chayo once again took top honours when 'Cruz' CH Chayo Vanquish, owned by Charlotte Whittaker won BEST OF BREED and was shortlisted in the group. Chayo also took the Working Breeders Group 1. 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame N Fortune owned by Glynis Cameron won 2nd place in the Junior Dog class, 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal won 2nd in the Puppy Bitch class, Chayo Fortune and Glory won the junior bitch class and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Phil Helleur was 3rd in the Post Graduate Bitch class.

At Chelmsford & District open show, 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers won 1st in Open, BEST avnsc & WORKING GROUP 1! The judge was Sheila Baker.

At WELKS Championship Show under judge Marion Sargent, 'Elise' - Chayo Elise won best bitch and her first CC and her litter brother 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me won the reserve dog CC then 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal won the Best Puppy In Breed award. Other awards given were 'Paolo' - Chayo Just The Ticket who gained a 3rd place in a strong limit dog class, 'Cruz' - Ch. Chayo Vanquish owned by Charlotte Whittaker who gained a VHC in the open dog class, Chayo Fortune and Glory who was placed 3rd in the junior bitch class, 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers who placed 2nd in the limit bitch class and Chayo Out Of The Blue within Arctictribe won the GCDS bitch class.

To complete what has been an amazing Easter weekend here at Chayo, we have just received confirmation from Holland that 'Freddy' is now a DUTCH CHAMPION and an INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION giving him the title of Int/NL/Lux Ch. Chayo I Want It All. As well as taking the breed, he also completed his championship in style by taking the group! Our sincere thanks to Nancy Daponte for her work with Freddy!!! His daughter Keisha also took the Best Bitch award!

We have received news that 'Louis' is now an AMERICAN CHAMPION! The first UK bred Malamute to gain this honour in the breed's country of origin. Our heartfelt thanks go to Andrea and Matt Sautbine at SnoQuest Alaskan Malamutes who have been taking care of Louis and to Andrea for her professional handling of Louis.

Brother and sister 'Cookie' - Chayo Cookie Monster and 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes had great fun at Allerton Park where Frankee's owner Ann Nevinson took them on an 11 mile trek to gain their first WTD leg.

At Camberley & District Canine Society, 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH won BEST OF BREED under Mr M Von Bruggenburg Rothschild.

At Bebington Canine Society open show, handled by Hannah Downie and at his very first show, 'Anton' - Chayo Dark and Dashing won Best Puppy In Breed and BEST OF BREED then went on to win WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3 and WORKING GROUP 3.

At the Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales championship show Chayo's 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me won Best Dog and BEST OF BREED, then was shortlisted in a very strong group. Reserve Best Bitch was his litter sister 'Elise' - Chayo Elise and Best Puppy Bitch was 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal. We also won Best Breeder in Group! The Best Puppy In Breed went on to win Best Puppy in Show, 'Panda' is out of a 'Spyda' - Chayo Black Widow.
'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson is announced as Top Puppy 2010 in the AMCUK Malamute Of The Year Awards.

News from Caroline and James Maher who report that 'TALI' - Chayo It’s All About Me attended Banbridge Championship Show in Northern Ireland where she won Best of Breed and Green Star. Tali, who's Freddie’s sister also travelled to Europe where she got the Reserve CACIB at Luxembourg !!!!

Excellent news from Europe where Freddy is now a Luxembourg Champion. Huge thanks to Nancy Daponte for handling him.

Confirmation has now been received from the UK Kennel Club that Enzo is now a UK Champion making him Chayo’s 6th homebred Champion.

More European news where at the International Show in Leiden, Netherlands, with over 2000 dogs entered, 'Freddy' - Chayo I Want It All won the CACIB, CAC and BEST OF BREED and then went on to win WORKING GROUP 1 and BEST IN SHOW 6!!! Freddy was handled by Nancy Daponte and Gwen Guillaume.

At Woolwich, Bexley & District Canine Association 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers won BEST AVNSC and WORKING GROUP 1

At the prestigious CRUFTS 2011 show 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me wins BEST OF BREED, gaining his 3RD CC to become Chayo's 6TH UK CHAMPION. He was also shortlisted in the Working Group to the final 8.

At Easington, Peterlee and District Canine Society and out of an entry of 650 dogs, 'Elise' - Chayo Elise took BEST OF BREED, WORKING GROUP 1 and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW! Her daughter 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal was Best Puppy In Breed and Working Puppy Group 2. Reserve Best of Breed was Anne Coman’s 'Frankee' - Chayo fortune Comes To Wintalakes. What a fabulous day for the Chayo Kids.

As the end of the working season draws near, results for Chayo dogs on the working scene are showing some really proud wins! 'Elmo' - Chayo Russian Roulette within Arctictribe and 'Maddy' - Chayo Northern Lights came 4th in the EF class of the ABSA Championship. Maddy and Ayla came 3rd in the J1 ABSA Championship 2010/11 season

It was another family affair at Manchester Championship Show where 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me won Best Dog and BEST OF BREED, then was shortlisted in a very strong group. Best Bitch was his litter sister 'Elise' - Chayo Elise and Elise's daughter 'Emme' - Chayo Out Of the Blue within Arctictribe owned by the Lovegrove family won Best Puppy in Breed! She in turn beat her litter sister 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal into 2nd place in Puppy Bitch. In Junior Dog 'Ellis' - Chayo Fame And Fortune was placed Reserve and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper was placed 1st in Junior Bitch both owned by Glynis Cameron.

A fantastic start to 2011 at Boston Championship Show where 'Enzo' - Chayo All Eyes On Me began by winning BEST OF BREED and then went on to win GROUP 4. Best Bitch was his litter sister 'Elise' - Chayo Elise, once again "doing the double". Elise's pups had a fantastic time at their first Championship Show with 'Crystal' - Chayo Pure Crystal winning 2nd in Puppy Bitch and 'Emme' - Chayo Out Of the Blue within Arctictribe owned by the Lovegrove family winning reserve.
