At the end of 2014, Chayo has once again succeeded in becoming Top Malamute Kennel and has also become Top Breeder in the Working Group 2014

Top Malamute 2014 is Bart, who was also awarded 2nd Top Dog in the Working Group and Top Brood Bitch 2014 is Truffle.

At Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland, 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won Open Dog and BEST OF BREED under breed specialist Anne Nevinson

Under judge Helen Burke, at South Wales Kennel Association, 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won Open Dog, the Dog CC and BEST OF BREED then went on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Stuart Mallard. Other Chayo successes were: 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn who placed 3rd in Limit Dog, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy who placed 3rd in the Open Dog class, 'Gypsy' - Chayo Blue Velvet who won the Open Bitch class and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden who placed 2nd in the same class.

At her ring debut, 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurin, co-owned by Julie & Dale Wilson, won Best Baby In Breed over two days and a BEST BABY IN SHOW placing at the International Dog Ijsselshow & Hanzeshow in the Netherlands.

September 2014

'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative went over to Northern Ireland with Lisa Bridges to compete at Belfast championship show where he won BEST OF BREED under judge Patsy Hollins and then went on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Kevin Young. Our thanks to both judges and to Lisa for handling him.

At Darlington championship show, 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative was awarded the RESERVE DOG CC. 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act won the Junior Dog class, 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was awarded 3rd in Open Bitch, gaining her stud book number at her first show and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden was awarded Res in the same class.

The month started with  trip to Richmond championship show where Judge Liz Dunhill awarded DOG CC and BEST OF BREED to 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative, giving him his 20th CC and making him the NEW BREED RECORD HOLDER. He then went on to be awarded WORKING GROUP 3 under judge Robin Newhouse - our thanks to both judges. The Reserve Bitch CC was awarded to 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden. Other results were: 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn who was 2nd in the Post Graduate Dog class, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed 3rd in the Open Dog class and 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell owned by Charlotte John won the Limit Bitch class.

August 2014

On to Scotland where at the Scottish Kennel Club 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED then went on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Jeff Luscott. This brings his total number of CCs to 19 and making him JOINT BREED RECORD HOLDER. 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed Res in the Open Dog class and 'Gypsy' - Chayo Blue Velvet was placed 2nd in Open Bitch.

At the Welsh Kennel Club championship show, 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED under judge Dr Ronald James and then was shortlisted in the group by Mr Dave Killilea. The BITCH CC went to CH Chayo Elise owned by Jo Sugden. 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn won the Post Graduate Dog class and in the Open Dog class 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed 3rd and 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson was placed Reserve. In the bitch classes,  'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye was placed Reserve and 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell owned by Charlotte John was placed VHC in Limit Bitch whilst 'Gypsy' - Chayo Blue Velvet was placed 3rd in Open Bitch.

Today at Bournemouth championship show, under judge Terry Munro, 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won BEST OF BREED and his 17th CC. 'Solomon' - Chayo Blueprint (AI) was place 2nd in Puppy Dog, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed 2nd in Limit Dog, 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different owned by Julie Wilson was placed 3rd in Open Dog and 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson was placed VHC in the same class. In bitches, Chayo Miss Moonfrost owned by Georgina Aiston was placed 2nd in Limit Bitch and 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye was placed 3rd in the same class. Other Chayo dogs doing well in the ring today were: Chayo Worth The Wait owned by K Buchanan winning Reserve in Post Graduate Dog, "Ace" - Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Averil Cawthera-Purdy winning 3rd in Limit Dog, 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different owned by Julie Wilson winning Reserve in Open Dog, 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye winning Reserve in Limit Bitch and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden winning 3rd in Open Bitch.

'Bart' - CHChayo My Prerogative continued his run of good luck at National Working & Pastoral Breeds championship show under Judge Albert Wight by winning BEST OF BREED and then went on to be placed GROUP 2 under judge Terry Munro. A great start to the month at East Of England championship show under judge David Cavill where  'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won his 13th CC and BEST OF BREED, then went on to win GROUP 2 under judge Steve Hall and 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act won BEST PUPPY IN BREED. 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden continued her run of good fortune with another Res CC. Other Chayo wins were: 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn who came 3rd in Post Graduate Dog, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was 2nd in Limit Dog and 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different owned by Julie Wilson came 3rd in Open Dog. In Post Graduate Bitch Chayo Taylor Made, owned by Glynis Cameron came 2nd and in Limit Bitch, 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye came 2nd and 'Adele' - Chayo Eye Candy owned by Glynis Cameron came 3rd.

The weather didn't spoil what was a fantastic day for us at Windsor championship show under judge Mrs L Salt who found her BEST OF BREED in 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative and her Res DOG CC in 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy. The Res BITCH CC went to 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden. 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act won the Puppy Dog class, 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn won the Post Graduate Dog class and 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson was awarded VHC in Open Dog. In bitches, 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell owned by Chris John won the Limit Bitch class followed by 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye who came 2nd. To finish off the day in style, Bart then took GROUP 1 under judge Mrs R Sporre-Willes

Also placing on the day were: 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn and Chayo Worth The Wait who were 2nd and 3rd in Post Graduate Dog and CH Chayo My Prerogative who was 2nd in Open Dog. In bitches, 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell won the Limit Bitch class.

An amazing start to the month with 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative winning his 11th CC and BEST OF BREED under International judge Markku Mahonen of Finland at Southern Counties Champ Show then going on to win WORKING GROUP 1 under judge Elina Haapaniemi. To complete our fabulous day, 'Elise' - Chayo Elise, now owned by our good friend Jo Sugden won her BEST BITCH and her 3rd CC making her CHAYO'S 11th UK CHAMPION. 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act completed the set when he won BEST PUPPY IN BREED and then went on to place WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3. Other Chayo placings were: 'Solomon' - Chayo Blueprint (AI) who was placed Reserve in Puppy Dog, 'Ted' - Chayo Ice Cold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn who came 3rd in Post Graduate Dog, 'Precious' - Chayo Blue Diamond (AI) who was placed Reserve in Puppy Bitch and 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell owned by Chris John who placed 2nd in Limit Bitch.

Meanwhile over in Europe, to top off a fabulous day we got news that 'Burt' Chayo Major Impact at Maat, owned by Fabrizio Cali won the Open Class male at the Alaskan Malamute Specialty of Rende under judge Valerio Nataletti  and was made up to a NEW ITALIAN CHAMPION

'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative make it to double figures by winning his 10th CC and BEST OF BREED at Bath Championship Show under judge Keith Baldwin. 'Elise' - Chayo Elise, now owned by our good friend Jo Sugden won the BITCH CC. The puppies did us proud today too with 'Solomon' - Chayo Blueprint (AI) winning Minor Puppy Dog, 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act winning Puppy Dog and 'Precious' - Chayo Blue Diamond (AI) winning Minor Puppy Bitch. Other Chayo places were: 'Ted' - Chayo Ice Cold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn who came 3rd in Post Graduate Dog, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy who won Limit Dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson who came 3rd in Open Dog, Chayo Pure Klass for Kashaella won Limit Bitch and 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell came 2nd in the same class. Finally, 'Gypsy' - Chayo Blue Velvet was reserve in Open Bitch.

In bitches 'Precious' - Chayo Blue Diamond (AI) came 2nd in Puppy Bitch class, 'Jessica' - Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell came 2nd in Limit Bitch and 'Topaz' - CH/INT CH Chayo Forget Me Not came out of retirement to come 2nd in the Veteran Bitch class.

At the Birmingham National Dog Show, under respected judge Christina Chapman, Best Dog and BEST OF BREED went to 'Bart' - CH Chayo my Prerogative who then went on to win GROUP 2 under judge Mr Rainer Vuorinen. Other places today were: 'Ted - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn who was VHC in Post Graduate Dog, 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy who won Limit Dog, 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different placed VHC in Limit Dog, 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson was placed VHC in Open Dog. The championship show season started well for Chayo when 'Bart' - CH Chayo my Prerogative won BEST OF BREED at Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales under judge Kevin Young and then went on to win GROUP 2 under judge Mr P Lawless. 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie was BEST BITCH and her litter brother 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes, owned by Anne Nevinson, won RESERVE BEST DOG. 'Ace' Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy won Limit Dog and Chayo Eyecatcher owned by Mr & Mrs McPhail was 3rd in Puppy Dog.

March 2014

Excellent news from Europe where Chayo Eye Candy 'Adele' owned by Glynis Cameron became a Luxembourg Junior Champion and was shortlisted to the last 6 for Best Junior In Show.

Elise raised £150 for St Ann's Hospice and then won Best Large breed class at their Fun Show

At Tunbridge Wells & DCS the judge Bridgette Bodle gave BEST OF BREED to Andrea & Mark Blackburn’s Chayo Icecold Apparition ‘Ted’. He went on to win Group 1 under Colin Hill.

My own weekend at Bootle, Crosby & South Liverpool CS, saw the judge Sue Hewart Chambers award BEST OF BREED to Anne Nevinson’s Chayo Fortune Come To Wintalakes ‘Frankee’ and he placed 4th in the Group. My boy Chayo Klass Act ‘Brad’ won BEST PUPPY IN BREED and then went on to win Puppy Group 1 under Group Judge Colin Barker.

The Dog CC and BEST OF BREED went to 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes ShCM owned by Anne Nevinson who then went on to be placed GROUP 2. The Reserve Dog CC was won by 'Ace' - Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy. Other Chayo placings were: 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act, at his first show, won the Minor Puppy Dog class, Chayo Eyecatcher owned by Mr & Mrs McPhaill was Reserve, Chayo All The Time at Kavara owned by Mrs V Anderton was Reserve in Junior Dog and VHC in Post Graduate Dog, 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different owned by Mr & Mrs Wilson was 3rd in Limit Dog, 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative was 2nd in Open Dog. What a weekend Chayo had all over the world! In Russia, 'Brian' - Chayo Celebration Amelhuk (Bart x Cookie) won 2 x Best Puppy In Show and in Portugal his sister 'Lady' - Chayo First Lady with Jose Ayllon Gonzalez won Best Puppy In Group. Over in Israel, 'Andre' - Chayo Feast Your Eyes (Enzo x Connie) won Best Junior In Show handled by Paz Davidovich and owned by Hillel Zhenwirth. Then in Slovenia, 'Burt' - GPE Chayo Major Impact at Maat (Enzo x Tara) owned by Fabrizio Calì became a Slovenian Champion. Huge Congratulations to all our kids!

With the kennels being so busy over the seasonal period, I couldn't attend Boston Championship show but Chayo still placed highly under judge Melvyn Hardy. Reserve in Limit Dog was 'Ace' - Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy, 3rd in Veteran class was Chayo True Blue of Jaydonspire owned by Donna Kelsey, 2nd in Junior Bitch was Chayo Taylor Made owned by Glynis Cameron, 2nd in Limit Bitch was Chayo Game Of Thrones, placed Reserve in the same class was 'Oreo' - Ch. Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama Ir Jr Ch. ShCM and placed Reserve in Open Bitch was 'Crystal' - Am/Cro Ch. Chayo Pure Crystal, expertly handled by Liz Dunhill.
