December 2018

A fabulous day at the final championship show of the year, The Ladies Kennal Association, where our judge Jo Sugden awarded 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment In Time her third CC, making her our ** champion. 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was awarded the Reserve Dog CC. Our thanks as always to Ivan Calleja for his handling skills! Other placings on the day were: 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre, 1st Junior Dog; 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, 2nd Open Dog; 'Silva' - Chayo Silver Shimmer (owned by the Sinclair family), 2nd in Limit Bitch.


We went back the next day with our Jack Russell 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas for Chayo (Imp PRT), who won Best Dog under judge Joe Ashe

October 2018

Ann Ingram judged us at Midland Counties championship show where we had a fabulous day! 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment in Time was awarded the BITCH CC and 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded the RESERVE DOG CC and BEST PUPPY IN BREED. This confirms Curtis as TOP PUPPY 2018 and Chayo as TOP MALAMUTE BREEDER 2018! Other results on the day were: 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One, 3rd in Open Dog and 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, 4th in the same class. 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond was 3rd in Open Bitch.

A trip to South Wales KA championship show saw 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) pick up the RESERVE BITCH CC and 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre awarded yet another BEST PUPPY IN BREED. 'Carly' - Chayo Glitterbug won the Puppy Bitch class and 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, co-owned and handled by Anne Nevinson, was 3rd in the Open Dog class. Our breed judge on the day was Christina Chapman. Curtis then went on to win a Puppy Group 2 under Mark Cocozza.
Meanwhile, our Jack Russells did well too with 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas for Chayo (imp PRT) taking RESERVE BEST DOG and 'Rose' - Chayo Rose Gold (Eddy’s daughter) winning BEST PUPPY BITCH and 3rd in the Minor Puppy Stakes. Thanks to judges Peter Bakewell and Meg Purnell Carpenter and as always our thanks to Ivan Calleja for his expert handling skills.

September 2018

A lovely momento of Timmy's GRAND CHAMPION TITLE win. Am GCH/CH Chayo Time After Time

Finishing our month at Driffield championship show, we once again came away with amazing results! Our judge was breed specialist Sue Smith and she made our day by awarding 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre his first CC, followed by BEST OF BREED AND BEST PUPPY IN BREED! 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) picked up her 14th CC and BEST OPPOSITE SEX. Our day wasn't finished there though, as Curtis represented the breed in the group ring under Christina Chapman and came away with WORKING GROUP 2. Our thanks to the judges and of course, to Ivan Calleja for his handling skills.

'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) continued her winning streak at Darlington championship show by winning her 13th CC and BEST OF BREED under judge Anna Paloheimo, then being shortlisted in the group. We took our girl 'Carly' - Chayo Glitterbug to her first show and we couldn't have dreamt of her results! She walked away with BEST PUPPY IN BREED and RESERVE BITCH CC! That's how you do it Carly! Our co=owned boy Midas 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was awarded another RESERVE DOG CC, as always handled by Anne and also won the Reserve CC Stakes. Finally, 'Fyre' - Ice Gangsta's Ball Of Fire for Chayo (imp DEU) was awarded VHC in open dog. Our thanks as always to Ivan Calleja for his handling skills.

We had a wonderful time at Richmond championship show where our judge Ann Hardy awarded 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond(ai) her 12th CC and 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre yet another BEST PUPPY IN BREED, who then went on to win WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3 under Marion Waddell. In open dog, 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was awarded 2nd and 'Fyre' - Ice Gangsta's Ball Of Fire for Chayo (imp DEU) was 3rd.

We have received fantastic news from Aji Gunardi who informs us that 'Timmy' has completed his GRAND CHAMPION TITLE in the US handled by Jeri El Dissi and her team. This makes him Am GCH Chayo Time After Time and gives Chayo our 2nd American Grand Champion! Thanks to all involved!

 

August 2018

A trip to Scotland for the SKC championship show saw Roberta Wright award 'Precious' CH Chayo Blue Diamond her 11th CC and BEST OF BREED. She then went on to win WORKING GROUP 4 under Mrs F Krall. Once again, 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED and shortlisted in the puppy group. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, handled as usual by his co-owner Anne Nevinson, was 2nd in Open Dog.

Amazing news from the US, where 'Timmy' - Chayo Time After Time has completed his AKC Champion title with 4 majors! Handled by Jeri El Dissi and owned by Aji Gunardi, Timmy is Chayo's 6th AKC champion, no other UK kennel hs achieved this many champions in the US.

We had a wonderful day at the Welsh Kennel Club championship show where our breed judge Richard Kinsey awarded the Bitch CC and BEST OF BREED to 'Precious' CH Chayo Blue Diamond who went on to win WORKING GROUP 4 under Mr Edd Bivin (USA). Richard also awarded 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One the RESERVE DOG CC and 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre BEST PUPPY IN BREED, who then went on to be awarded WORKING PUPPY GROUP 2 under Mr G Rual. 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW was handed Reserve in the Open Dog class. Our thanks to all the judges.

 

Tan Nagrecha judged the breed at Bournemouth championship show, where we had a fabulous day! The BITCH CC winner and BEST OF BREED was 'Precious' CH Chayo Blue Diamond back from a long break from the show ring. The DOG CC winner was 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One, 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was awarded the RESERVE DOG CC and BEST PUPPY IN BREED was 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre. Our other results were: 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds 2nd in Limit Dog, 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW Reserve in Open Dog and 'Jessie' - CH Chayo Inspiration JW 2nd in Open Bitch. We were then overwhelmed to have success in the group ring, with judge Richard Kinsey awarding Precious WORKING GROUP 2 and Curtis WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1. What a wonderful end to the day!

 

On top of an amazing day in the malamute ring, we had great success in the Jack Russell Terrier ring, where 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas for Chayo (Imp) was awarded BEST OF BREED by the judge Mr G Mason and then went on to be shortlisted to the final 6 in a very strong Terrier group under judge Jeff Luscott. What a great day!

We had an amazing time at Paignton championship show. Our headline news is that 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW was awarded her 3rd CC by breed specialist Kath Howarth and is our 19th UK CHAMPION! Our youngster 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED. 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was awarded Reserve in the Limit Dog class and 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was awarded 3rd in Open Dog.

On top of this fabulous news, our Jack Russell Terrier 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas For Chayo (Imp) was handed RESERVE BEST DOG by judge Mr M Walshaw. What a great couple of days away!

Chayo unfortunately will not be attending the WDS due to work commitments but we wish all our friends And exhibitors a great show



July 2018

Fantastic news from Tommy Liem in Indonesia where 'Ricky' is now CH/Indo CH Chayo Classic Design and also wins BEST IN SHOW at the prestigious Indonesian Winners Show 2018. Well done team!

We had a lovely weekend away in Malvern, enjoying the sunshine and attending 3 shows. Our first was the National Working & Pastoral Breeds championship show  where our judge Rodney Oldham delighted us by awarding 'Jenson' CH Chayo Formula One the DOG CC and BEST OF BREED, handled by Ivan Calleja. He then awarded RESERVE DOG CC to 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, handled by Anne Nevinson as usual. We were also awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED with 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre. At just a few days over one year old, 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was handed 1st in the Limit Dog class, 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW was 3rd in Open Dog behind Jenson and Midas and 'Precious' - CH Chayo Blue Diamond (ai) and 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Open Bitch class. Our thanks to the judge.

On to Sunday, where we firstly attended Evesham & DCS open show where 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was awarded BEST OF BREED and WORKING GROUP 3, 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW was awarded RESERVE BEST OF BREED and 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre was awarded BEST PUPPY and PUPPY WORKING GROUP 4. Our thanks to judges Stephen Atkinson and Irene Feely.

Finally, on to The Alaskan Malamute Club of the UK open show, judged by Dave Chapman. We were over the moon with his appreciation of our breeding on the day with BEST IN SPECIALITY SHOW being awarded to 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One, BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALITY SHOW  being awarded to 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre and BEST JUNIOR IN SPECIALITY SHOW being awarded to 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds. In addition, 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW was awarded RESERVE BEST BITCH. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was 2nd and 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW was 3rd behind Jenson in Open Dog. Chayo is also proud to report that the Reserve Best In Show and Best Opposite Sex was sired by 'Paolo' - Am GrCH Chayo Just The Ticket WWPDX and the Best Veteran In Show was out of 'True' - Chayo True Blue of Jaydonspire, so our kennels were involved in every major award at this speciality show! What a wonderful achievement for Chayo!

Half way through the year and it's time to celebrate!

 

What an incredible day we had at East Of England championship show!  Our sincere thanks to our judge Mr Barrie Croft who awarded 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW his 7th CC and then awarded 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW, handled beautifully by Ivan Calleja, the bitch CC and BEST OF BREED. This was not only a special event, giving us another "double" but it also meant we have accumulated a fantastic total of 150 CCs! WOW! Our thanks to all the judges who have recognised the qualities in our breeding. On the day, our judge also gave us the BEST PUPPY IN BREED in 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre. Finally, our gorgeous 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was handed 2nd in Limit Dog, what a fantastic achievement for one so young! Ivan also handled Curtis in the Working/Pastoral Puppy Dog Stakes under judge Mr Kevan Berry and won from a large entry, our thanks to our judges and to our friend Ivan for his handling skills.

June 2018

We finished the month at Windsor championship show under judge Frank Kane where, once again, our star 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds won BEST PUPPY IN BREED. Meanwhile, our good friend Ivan Calleja handled our boy 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One in the Champion Stakes under Mr Nick Gourley with 37 entries and won! I returned the next day for the final of the heat under Nick Witchstone Gourley who graciously awarded Jenson first place, qualifying him for the final at Crufts 2019!

Blackpool championship show was warm and sunny and our judge was Dave Killilea. Our star 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds won BEST PUPPY IN BREED and BEST JUNIOR IN BREED! Back out in the ring after a break, 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW ShCM won the RESERVE BITCH CC.

  

We had a lovely sunny day at the Royal Cheshire Show, judged by Mr R Harlow, where 'Fyre' - Ice Gangsta’s Ball Of Fire for Chayo (Imp Deu) won BEST OF BREED and BPIB  and 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds won BEST PUPPY IN BREED and went on to PUPPY GROUP 4 under Mrs S Jakeman.

 

At Border Union championship show, 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, co-owned and handled by Anne Nevinson, took the RESERVE DOG CC under judge Jim Broadberry.

May 2018

Despite a very wet start to the day, Bath championship show was a day for our youngsters to shine! Our boy 'Elvis' - BPISS Chayo Suspicious Minds continued his winning streak with another BEST PUPPY IN BREED, then went on to take PUPPY GROUP 2 and 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment In Time JW won the RESERVE BITCH CC. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM, co-owned and handled by Anne Nevinson, took the RESERVE DOG CC and also won the PETS AS THERAPY HEAT to qualify for the final at CRUFTS 2019! Our red boy 'Fyre' - Ice Gangsta's Ball Of Fire for Chayo (imp DEU) won the limit dog class to complete a great day! Our thanks to breed judge Sue Hewart-Chambers, Puppy Group judge Sue Garner and Pets As Therapy judge Lyn Salt.

What a wonderful day we had at the Scottish Kennel Club championship show! The sun continued to shine and our judge Helen Burke clearly liked what she saw in our boy 'Elvis' - BPISS Chayo Suspicious Minds who won the Puppy Dog class but then, above our expectations, was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED and the RESERVE CC at just 10 months old! Our gorgeous Jenson was handled by Ivan Calleja to 2nd in Open Dog. Our great day wasn't finished there though, when 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment In Time JW won Limit Bitch and went on to be awarded the BITCH CC. Elvis then went on to be shortlisted in a strong puppy group! Our thanks to our good friend Ivan for his handling, we look forward to seeing you in the UK again soon!

 

A day out to the Birmingham National championship show which saw 'Elvis' - BPISS Chayo Suspicious Minds back in the building to take BEST PUPPY IN BREED under judge Jill Peak and go on to win PUPPY GROUP 3. Not only that, we entered the Eukanuba Puppy Stakes and won the class, then the heat, meaning Elvis is qualified for the final at CRUFTS 2019! Also, 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment In Time JW won the Limit Bitch class, handled by Ivan Calleja and 'Jessie' - Chayo Inspiration JW was awarded 2nd in Open Bitch.

We attended the AMCUK open show in a very sunny Leicestershire where 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds was awarded BEST PUPPY IN SHOW by the two judges Jane York and Jenny Shorer-Wheeler. We also entered our little lad 'Curtis' - Chayo Cause Celebre into the Fun Show after the main event where he came away with CUTEST PUPPY! What an absolute star he was, thoroughly enjoying his day out!

News from Tommy Liem in Indonesia where 'James' - BIS Int/Indo/Thai CH Chayo Bit Special won at the Perkin 96th Anniversary Dog Show. Well done team!

March 2018

To end the month, we headed off to North Lincs Dog Club open show where 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM was handled by Anne to BEST OF BREED and WORKING GROUP 3, I handled 'Whitney' - Chayo One Moment In Time JW to RBOB and our little star 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds to BEST PUPPY IN BREED, PUPPY GROUP 1 and ultimately RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW! Our sincere thanks to breed and group judge Steve Atkinson  and BIS judge Simon Luxmoore.

We received news from Tommy Lien that "Ricky" - CH Chayo Classic Design achieved his Indonesian Champion title in one weekend. Well done team!

Anne took Midas to Whitehaven & District Open Show where he took BEST OF BREED & WORKING GROUP 2 under judge Anne MacDonald.

What a fabulous day at CRUFTS this year. Our thanks to the judge Simon Luxmoore who awarded the DOG CC & BEST DOG to 'Jenson' - CH Chayo Formula One, handled by our good friend Ivan Calleja. Jenson is out of 'Rocket' - Multi Ch Storm Kloud's Aall Systems Go and 'Crystal' - Multi Ch Chayo Pure Crystal and has only been lightly shown. ' Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds carried on his winning streak by being awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED! What an amazing boy he is proving to be. Anne Nevinson handled 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch ShCM to Reserve in the open dog class, completing a great day!

Midas also represented Chayo in the PAT Dog finals and although not placed, we are so proud of him for getting there!

  



February 2018

We had a cracking day at Billingham & Synthonia CS open show where the baby of the team ' Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds only went and beat the big boys and girls and took BEST OF BREED and BET PUPPY IN BREED️ then went on to win both WORKING GROUP 1 and PUPPY WORKING GROUP 1. So very proud of this 7 month old baby! Huge thanks to our judge today Mr Tim Hutchings. Not to be outdone 'Eddy' -  Eddy Eldorado dos Makuas (imp), the JRT won yet another BEST OF BREED handled by his best friend Tamsin Blyton.

News from Indonesia where 'Evie' - Chayo You Better Believe It achieved her Indonesian Champion title!  Evie is owned by Tommy Lien.

Super day at St Helens open show where the dream team Tamsin and Jack Russell 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado dos Makuas (imp) took  BEST AVNSC and GROUP 2. 'Timmy' - Chayo Time After Time took BEST OF BREED, gaining the final points for his JW (subject to KC confirmation)


January 2018

We attended the Northern Dog Club open show where 'Elvis' - took BEST PUPPY IN BREED and PUPPY GROUP 3 under judge Mr J McGhee. 'Timmy' - Chayo Time After Time won his class too, so a great day out!

The first championship show of the year and an amazing start for our new star 'Elvis' - Chayo Suspicious Minds who was awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED by judge Steve Hall. At just 6 months and 3 days, Elvis showed like a professional, we're o very excited for this boy's future! We also took along 'Timmy' - Chayo Time After Time who won both the Junior Dog class and Post Graduate Dog class. Our boy 'Brad' - CH Chayo Klass Act JW was placed a respectable 2nd in Open Dog.

We started the year with a super day at Heywood & Radcliffe CS open show. The morning started off nicely with our Jack Russell Terrier boy 'Eddy' - Eddy Eldorado Dos Makuas For Chayo (imp PRT) winning BEST OF BREED and a lovely GROUP 4 under judge Mr Paul Eardley. Then our 'Timmy' - Chayo Time After Time showed like a dream and won BEST AVNSC and a super GROUP 2 under judge Ms Allyson King.
