December 2015

Congratulations to 'Keiko' - Chayo Bootilicious of Milagre owned by Gill Reid who successfully achieved two qualifying scores at her first Rally Obedience competition.

A super day out at Darwen Canine Society,  My baby pug 'Chloe' - Chayo Dream Baby was BEST PUPPY IN BREED and then won 2nd in Toy Puppy Group, our thanks to judge Miss B Evans. Then 'Bianca' - BPISS Chayo Top Class won her class handled by Anne Nevinson and 'Ricky; - BPIS Chayo Classic Design won his class, BEST PUPPY IN BREED and BEST OF BREED. Ricky then went on to win both WORKING GROUP 1 and PUPPY WORKING GROUP 1 and ultimately RESERVE BEST IN SHOW and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. Thank you to judges Arlene Clure and Dave Killilea. News from Italy where 'Sen' - Chayo Sensation Del Biagio was awarded BEST BABY IN SPECIALTY SHOW at the Pesaro - Annual Northern Breeds Club Specialty

What a brilliant finish to the year! We attended the LKA Championship show where 'Ricky' BPIS Chayo Classic Design was awarded BEST DOG and his first CC at 9 months of age! He was also awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED. 'Bart' - BIS BISS CH Chayo My Prerogative was awarded the Reserve CC, so an amazing day for our boys! Ricky's litter sister 'Bianca' - BPISS Chayo Top Class was awarded BEST PUPPY BITCH, so our future looks bright! Other Chayo placements were: Andrea & Mark Blackburn’s Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM ‘Ted’  who won the Limit Dog class, 'Ace' - CH Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed Reserve in Open Dog and 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay was 2nd in Junior Bitch. At Southport and Birkdale  open show, 'Keiko' - BIS Chayo Bootilicious for Milagre, owne by Gill Reid,  complete the requirements for her Show Certificate of Merit by winning Best AVNSC and Working Group 1

November 2015

A day out at Wirral KA and 'Ricky' BPIS Chayo Classic Design came away with another BEST PUPPY IN SHOW and added a RESERVE BEST IN SHOW to his CV! Our thanks to breed and group judge Mr Keith Thornton and to the Best In Show judge Mrs Jill Peak

At Hyde & District CA, ‘Ricky’ BPIS Chayo Classic Design had a day out on his own and enjoyed himself immensely. It was his 9 mth birthday and he couldn’t have had a better day than to win BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. The Breed was judged by Ms Alanna Blaney who awarded Ricky BEST PUPPY IN BREED and BEST OF BREED. The puppy Group was judged by Mrs J Middletion and he won PUPPY GROUP 1, culminating with being chosen as Best Puppy In Show under Mrs Sue Pollock-Yule.

We headed north for the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland championship show where the breed judges were Mrs Lindsey Sutherland for the dogs and Ms Lesley Semple for the bitches. A unanimous decision between them both saw 'Bart' - BIS BISS CH Chayo My Prerogative awarded BEST DOG and BEST OF BREED and 'Bianca' - BPISS Chayo Top Class awarded RESERVE BEST BITCH and BEST PUPPY IN BREED, handled by Anne Nevinson. Onto the Groups where Bart gained WORKING GROUP 3 under Mr Albert Wight and Bianca  was awarded PUPPY GROUP 3 under Mr Tom Johnston.

October 2015

We ended the month at Midland Counties championship show where 'Bart' - BIS BISS CH Chayo My Prerogative won his 35th CC under judge Liz Cartledge. At only her 2nd show, 'Cindi' - RBISS Chayo About Time won the Reserve Bitch CC! 'Bianca' - BPISS Chayo Top Class came 2nd in Minor Puppy Bitch, 'Dusty' - Chayo Gold Dust won the Puppy Bitch class and 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson was placed Reserve in Post Graduate Bitch.

BEST IN SHOW FOR OUR BOY BART!

We returned on Sunday for the Best In Show competition where Bart showed gloriously to be awarded BEST IN SHOW under judge Jack Bispham. What an incredible year for Bart with his Crufts Group win, then his Best In Specialty Show win and now this! Our sincere thanks to Mr Bispham, we are thrilled to have this title bestowed on our boy!

We started the month at Driffield championship show, where Mr Steve Hall awarded 'Bart' - BISS CH Chayo My Prerogative his 34th CC and BEST OF BREED and then under judge Kevin Young he went on to be awarded his 11th WORKING GROUP 1. The kids continued to do well too with both 'Ricky' - BPIS Chayo Classic Design and 'Bianca' - BPISS Chayo Top Class winning their respective Minor Puppy classes and the 'Ricky' going on to be awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED. 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay won her Puppy Bitch class, 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson came 2nd in the Junior Bitch class and 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was placed VHC in a large Open Bitch class.

September 2015

News from abroad where over in Maastricht, Netherlands Glyn Cameron won BOB, CACIB and CAC on the 1^st day of the Show with Chayo Eye Candy ‘Adele’ ( Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me x Chayo Contradiction) and  Andrea & Mark Blackburn’s Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM ‘Ted’  won the RACIB and RCAC. Then  on the 2^nd day of the Show, ‘Ted’ won the CACIB and the CAC .  Then in Bandung, Indonesia, Tommy Liem with Multi Ch Chayo Bit Special ‘James’ won BOB and placed 3^rd in the Group. At Belfast Show in Northern Ireland, Paul Hanna won BB with Ir Ch Chayo All A Flicka Ir Jr Ch   ‘Flicka’.  In Catania, Italy  Fabry and ‘Burt’ Multi Ch Major Impact At Maat won BOB and placed 3rd in the Group. Congratulations to everybody flying the flag for Chayo abroad.  

BART WINS BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW!

What a truly fantastic day for Chayo at the Alaskan Malamute Club of the UK championship show! Our enormous gratitude to judges Jack Bispham and Vic Salt who awarded BEST IN SHOW and the Dog CC to 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative and RESERVE BEST IN SHOW and the Bitch CC to 'Cindi' - Chayo About Time at her very first show! 'Bianca' - Chayo Top Class completed the amazing line up with BEST PUPPY IN SHOW - our 2nd BPIS from the same litter, another first for the breed! Her brother 'Ricky' - Chayo Classic Design won the Minor Puppy Dog class, was placed Reserve in Junior Bitch, 'Keiko' - Chayo Bootilicious of Milagre, owned by Gill Reid was placed Reserve in Limit Bitch, 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was placed Reserve in Open Bitch and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise, owned by Jo Sugden was placed 2nd in Veteran Bitch. Our thanks to Lisa Bridges and Lauren Bridges for their handling skills today, especially Lauren who handled Bianca to BPISS at her first show experience with a Malamute!

The sun was shining for Chayo at Darlington championship show where 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won his 32nd CC and BEST OF BREED under judge Jill Peak and our young boy 'Ricky' - Chayo Classic Design won BEST PUPPY IN BREED out of Minor Puppy Dog class at only his 2nd show and then went on to win PUPPY GROUP 1 under Christina Chapman! His sister 'Bianca' - Chayo Top Class was 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay was 2nd in the same class and then 1st in Puppy Bitch. 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson came 2nd in Junior Bitch, 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was awarded 2nd in Open Bitch and 'Elise' - CH Chayo Elise owned by Jo Sugden was 2nd in Veteran Bitch.

At Richmond championship show, judge Robin Hug from the US placed 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn 2nd in Limit Dog and in a large Open Bitch class 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama Ir J Ch ShCM owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers  was awarded 2nd place.

A magnificent start to the month as 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie, owned by Anne Nevinson wins her 3rd CC to make her Chayo's 14th UK Champion at City of Birmingham championship show. 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative does the double, winning his 31st CC and going BEST OF BREED under judge Sue Pollock-Yule, what a terrific day! Other Chayo successes on the day were 'Silva' - Chayo Avenger owned by Ken Cooper who was placed Reserve in Junior Dog, 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn was placed Reserve in Limit Dog, 'Ace' - CH Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed VHC in Open Dog, 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson was placed 3rd in Junior Bitch and 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was placed 3rd in Open Bitch.

August 2015

To end the month Chayo took a trip to Scotland for the SKC Championship Show where "father and son" team of  Bart and Brad did us proud! 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won BEST DOG and gained his 30th CC, whilst 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act JW took the Reserve CC. We also took BEST PUPPY IN BREED with 'Bianca' - Chayo Top Class at her first show! What a fantastic day with Bart reaching his milestone of 30 CCs and Bianca starting her career with such a great result! Our other Chayo successes on the day were a 1st in Post Graduate Dog for 'Conan' - Chayo Worth The Wait owned by Kirsty Buchanan, a Reserve in Open Dog for 'Ace' - CH Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy, a 2nd in Puppy Bitch for 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay, a 3rd in Junior Bitch for 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson and 2nd in Open Bitch for 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits. The month continues to produce fantastic results for us at the Welsh Kennel Club championship show where 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative wins BEST DOG, gains his 29th CC,  and goes BEST OF BREED under judge Jeff Luscott and our success was doubled with 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits taking her first CC and BEST BITCH. The Reserve Dog CC went to 'Ace' - CH Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva, owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy and the Reserve Bitch CC was awarded to Lapema Angelo Di Ciel, a daughter of 'Enzo' - CH Chayo All Eyes On Me. Other achievements on the day were: 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay placed 2nd in Puppy Bitch and 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie, owned by Anne Nevinson who placed 3rd in Open Bitch. The great day continued into the Group ring where 'Bart' was placed GROUP 3 by judge Hedd Richards. Our thanks to both of today's judges!

A trip to Bournemouth Championship show saw 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative gain his 28th CC and 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye win the Bitch RCC under Finnish judge Espen Engh. Other Chayo results were Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn who was awarded VHC in Limit Dog, 'Ace' - CH Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva, owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy who was 2nd in Open Dog and 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama Ir J Ch ShCM owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers who was 2nd in Open Bitch.

The Reserve Bitch CC went to 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye and Best Puppy In Breed was awarded to 'Dusty' - Chayo Gold Dust. In other results. 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch was 1st in Puppy Dog, 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act was placed 3rd in Open Dog and 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie, owned by Anne Nevinson, was placed reserve in Open Bitch.

July 2015

In other results, 'Conan' - Chayo Worth The Wait owned by Kirsty Buchanan was awarded VHC in Post Graduate Dog, 'Ted' - Chayo Icecold Apparition ShCM owned by Andrea Blackburn was 3rd in Limit Dog, 'Cerys' - Chayo Liquid Gold owned by Karen Gourlay was 2nd in Minor Puppy Bitch behind her litter mate, 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin owned by Dale & Julie Wilson won both the Junior and Graduate Bitch classes, 'Keiko'- Chayo Bootilicious Of Milagre owned by Gill Reid was awarded Reserve in Limit Bitch class and 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama Ir J Ch ShCM owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers was 3rd in Open Bitch.

An extremely busy weekend! It started with me having the honour of judging Malamutes at the National Working & Pastoral Breeds Society where I had some quality dogs to go over. Thanks to the committee for inviting me and to the exhibitors for their entries.

On Sunday I was back to exhibiting myself at East of England championship show and was very pleased to see 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative winning his 27th CC and BEST OF BREED, then go on to gain WORKING GROUP 3. Our thanks to both judges on the day. 'Adele' - Chayo Eye Candy, owned by Glynis Cameron and 'Abby' - Chayo Easy On The Eye were placed 2nd and 3rd in Limit Bitch and in Open Bitch 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was placed 3rd and 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintdreama ShCM owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers was awarded VHC.

June 2015

We ended the month at Blackpool Championship show where we celebrated 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative winning his 26th CC and BEST OF BREED under breed specialist Jo Sugden. He then went on to be placed GROUP 2 under judge Sue Searle. Our biggest surprise of the day went to our girl 'Dusty' - Chayo Gold Dust who, at just 6 months of age and from the Minor Puppy Bitch class, was awarded the RESERVE BITCH CC. She is the youngest Malamute to be awarded a stud book number and with this start to her show career, she certainly looks to have a golden future!! Our thanks to both judges today who thought so highly of our dogs.

We burst into June at the 3 Counties championship show where 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won his 25th CC and BEST OF BREED under judge Robin Newhouse and then went on to win GROUP 1 under respected judge Barry Croft, we thank both judges for their high opinion of our wonderful boy! Our puppies, sired by Enzo and out of Cookie, made their debut at just 6 months and 1 day with 'Midas' - Chayo Golden Touch, winning 2nd place in Puppy Dog and 'Dusty' - Chayo Gold Dust, winning her class and going on to get BEST PUPPY BITCH. Other Chayo places on the day were 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different, owned by Dale and Julie Wilson, placing Reserve in Open Dog, 'Peaches' - CH Chayo Careless Whisper placing 3rd in Open Bitch and 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie, owned by Anne Nevinson, placing VHC in the same class.

May 2015

With a busy month at the kennels, we had a quiet month in the show ring but it didn't stop us from ending the month at Southern Counties championship show with BEST OF BREED and BITCH CC won by 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie, owned by our good friend Anne Nevinson. The DOG CC was won by our own 'Brad' - Chayo Klass Act JW, a perfect day for Mother and Son. Our thanks to the judge Robin Searle. BEST PUPPY IN BREED went to 'Voodoo' - BPIS Lapema Nino Vudu owned by Lapema kennels and sired by our own 'Paolo' - Am Gr Ch Chayo Just The Ticket WPD WWPD WWPDX x 'Cielo' - Lapema Angelo Di Ciel who then went on to be placed PUPPY GROUP 4. Other Chayo successes were 'Ted' - Chayo Ice Cold Apparition ShCM, owned by Mark & Andrea Blackburn, placing 3rd in Limit Dog and 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama ShCM, owned by Sarah Towers and Neil Rivers, placing 3rd in Open Bitch

April 2015

A fantastic weekend at WELKS, where  'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won his 24th CC and BEST OF BREED under judge Tan Nagrecha and then went on to win GROUP 1 under respected judge Jack Bispham. 'Peaches' - CH Chayo Careless Whisper won the Bitch RCC in what is proving to be a great start of the year for her. 'Ace' - Chayo Pulling Power for Lireva, owned by Avril Cawthera-Purdy was placed 3rd in Open Dog and 'Lola' - Chayo No Limits was placed 3rd in Open Bitch.

We travelled to the Working & Pastoral Breed of Wales championship show where 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative won BEST OF BREED under judge Tim Ball and then went on to gain GROUP 2 under judge Phillip Greenway. BEST BITCH was our girl "Lola" - Chayo No Limits. Our new kid on the block, "Jenson" - Chayo Formula One won his Puppy Dog class to complete our wonderful day.

March 2015

WOW!!! What an incredible day at Crufts, where breed specialist Chris John gave 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative his 23rd CC and BEST OF BREED and 'Peaches' - Chayo Careless Whisper her 3rd and crowning CC handled by our good friend Ivan Calleja. The Reserve Bitch CC went to 'Oreo' - CH Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama, owned by Sarah Towers and Neil Rivers. We then had the honour of representing the breed in the Group ring where judge Mr Bob Gregory saw fit to give Bart GROUP 1 over some stunning dogs. Our thanks to those judges and we look forward to returning to the ring on Sunday for Best In Show!

January 2015

Chayo start the year at Manchester Championship show with 2 CCs under judge Ann Ingram. 'Bart' - CH Chayo My Prerogative took the Dog CC and BEST OF BREED then went on to win GROUP 2 under judge Liz Cartledge. The Bitch CC went to 'Peaches' - Chayo Careless Whisper, her 2nd and 'Gypsy' - Chayo Blue Velvet came 2nd in the same class. 'Nessa' - Chayo Whatz Occurrin, owned by Julie and Dale Wilson came Reserve in Minor Puppy Bitch
