Top Brood Bitch in UK Alaskan Malamutes (Dog World/Yumega) is our very own special girl 'Topaz' Ch/Int Ch Chayo Forget Me Not and she is also the 1st Malamute to achieve Top Brood Bitch in the Working Category, being third overall in the whole of the UK.
Once again Top Stud Dog in UK Alaskan Malamutes (Dog World/Royal Canin) is the handsome 'Diesel' - Am/Int/Lux/Bel/Dutch Ch Sno Quest's Limited Edition owned by Rita Liebrand from the Netherlands.

I am devastated to announce that I have lost 'Blue' - CH/Int CH Chayo Blue Thunder Winner '07. I can't quite believe that he has gone, my best friend, my No. 1. Blue will be greatly missed but in his time with me he gave so much and I will be forever grateful to him.

Chayo are very happy to announce that we have received news of 3 FCI Junior Champions. Not only that but they are all from the same litter! 'Flicka' - Chayo All A Flicka owned by Paul Hanna gained hers in Ireland, 'Coco' - Chayo J'Adore For Coco owned by Ryan and Corinne Farrugia gained hers in Italy and also in Italy, 'Burt' - Chayo Major Impact at Maat owned by Fabrizio and Elvira Cali gained his.

Chayo had a wonderful day at the Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland championship show where 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me won Best Dog, BEST OF BREED and went on to win WORKING GROUP 4. Best Opposite Sex went to Chayo Fortune & Glory owned by Frank & Sarah Cochran and Reserve Best Dog went to Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by D Cawthera. Other placings were Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes owned by Ann Nevinson who came reserve in Open Dog and Chayo Game Of Thrones who was placed 3rd in Post Graduate Bitch.

Other Chayo placings were Julie Wilson's Chayo Dare To Be Different who placed VHC in Puppy Dog, Glynis Cameron's Chayo Fame And Fortune who placed Res in Limit Dog, Chris John's Chayo Rumour Has It for Cristakell who placed 2nd in Puppy Bitch and Sarah Towers & Neil Rivers' 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster for Wintadreama ShCM Ir Jr CH who was placed 2nd in Limit Bitch.

Amazing news from overseas! In just 7 weeks, with a 3pt Major, a 4pt Major and 3 back to back Best Of Breeds the first weekend, Crystal finished her title becoming the 1st UK bred female to become an AMERICAN CHAMPION! Huge thanks to Andrea Sautbine for her hard work.

Chayo All Eyes On Me won BEST OF BREED and WORKING GROUP 2 increasing his CC Breed Record to 10. His sister 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was awarded the Reserve Bitch CC. In other results, Mr & Mrs Wilson's 'Odin' - Chayo Dare To Be Different was awarded 3rd in Puppy Dog, Anne Coman's 'Frankee' - Chayo Fortune Comes To Wintalakes was awarded 1st in Limit Dog, Charlotte Whitaker's 'Cruz' - Ch. Chayo Vanquish was awarded 3rd in Open Dog and 'Oreo' - Chayo Cookie Monster For Wintadreama IR Jr CH ShCM owned by Neil Rivers and Sarah Towers was awarded Res. in Open Bitch.

Under judge Robin Searle at Windsor Championship Show, 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative was awarded the Dog CC and 'Izzy' - Chayo Miss Moonfrost, owned by Georgina Aiston was awarded the Reserve Bitch CC. 'Truffle' - Ch. Chayo Better Then Chocolate was awarded 3rd in Open Bitch. Other Chayo placings were Chayo Icecold Apparition owned by Mr & Mrs Blackburn who was awarded 2nd in Minor Puppy Dog, Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva owned by Mr Cawthera was awarded 3rd in Junior Dog, Mike and Chris John's Chayo Rumour Has It For Cristakell was awarded 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Glynis Cameron was VHC in Open Bitch

We received certificates from the AMCA where Louis and Paolo both placed highly in the 2011 Malamute Rankings in America!

June 2012

At a wet and windy Three Counties Championship Show 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me won BEST OF BREED and WORKING GROUP 4. 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie won BEST BITCH. Reserve Best Dog was Averil Cawthera-Purdy's Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva and Best Puppy Dog was Julie Wilson's Chayo Dare To Be Different. Georgina Aiston's Chayo Miss Moonfrost was 2nd in Junior. Our thanks to judges Tegwyn Jones and Terry Nethercott.

We received confirmation of Logan's WPD and WTD certification in the post.

Chayo had reason to celebrate the Jubilee weekend when 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me was awarded BEST OF BREED and went on to win WORKING GROUP 3 at Southern Counties Championship Show under American judge Ron Menaker. This win means that Enzo is now the CC BREED RECORD HOLDER with 9 CCs.

May 2012

At the AMCUK Show, 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative wins BEST JUNIOR IN SPECIALTY SHOW. 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie came 2nd in Open Bitch behind 'Nakia' - Chayo Careless Whisper owned by Glynis Cameron who went on to win RESERVE BEST BITCH

At just 15 months of age, 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative wins his first CC and goes BEST OF BREED at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show, making him the youngest CC winner in the breed. Our thanks to breed specialist Sue Smith for thinking so highly of our boy. He then went on to exceed our expectations by being shortlisted into the final 6 in the group!

We have received news from Fabry in Italy to tell us that 'Burt' is now Junior Italian Champion Chayo Major Impact at Maat! He closed the title at the international Dog Show in Vibo, Valenzia under judge Guido Vandoni and then went on to win again at the International Dog Show (Breed Specialty) of Rende under judge Gabriele Dondi.

Some exciting news from China where 'Anton' - Chayo Dark And Dashing has become a Chinese Champion! Well done Amy and Anton!

At Birmingham National Championship Show under Judge Steve Hall, 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me was awarded BEST OF BREED and went on to win WORKING GROUP 4. His litter brother 'Cruz' - Ch. Chayo Vanquish was awarded the Reserve Dog CC is litter sister 'Elise' - Chayo Elise was awarded the Reserve Bitch CC.

Chayo are very proud to announce that 'Paolo' has now been confirmed as a GRAND CHAMPION, giving him the title Am GCh, Ch. Chayo Just The Ticket WPD, WWPD, WWPDA, WWPDX. We are extremely grateful to our friends Andrea and Matt Sautbine of SnoQuest Kennels who have looked after him so well, achieving so much with him in the ring and out working. We can't wait for the party when he returns home to the UK!

Ásgarðsheima Kennel - Chayo Blue Blood - 'Atlas' has been announced as highest ranked Alaskan Malamute in Iceland 2011. He also ranked highest in 2010, we are so proud of him.

News from Finland where 'Stara' - Chayo Musikaalin Stara, owned by Aino Kataja, made her debut in the show ring winning the CAC and BOS!

Recently, 'Emme' - Chayo Out Of the Blue within Arctictribe, owned by the Lovegrove family, gained her Working Team Dog award (WTD).

At the first Championship show of the year, 'Enzo' - Ch. Chayo All Eyes On Me was awarded top dog and BEST OF BREED by judge Dianna Spavin and shortlisted in the group. BEST PUPPY IN BREED was won by 'Bart' - Chayo My Prerogative who went on to win PUPPY GROUP 1 under judge SJ Hattrell. Chayo also took BEST BREEDER IN BREED and BREEDER'S GROUP 1. 'Cookie' - Chayo Fortune Cookie was placed 1st in the Open Bitch class and Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva, owned by D Cawthera was placed 3rd in Puppy Dog.
